The Vice President – Compliance will lead enterprise compliance strategy, oversee global regulatory programs, manage corporate governance initiatives, direct enterprise risk controls, and ensure organization-wide adherence to financial, legal, operational, and ethical standards.
This is a critical executive leadership role requiring deep expertise in global compliance operations, financial regulations, enterprise governance, operational risk management, ethics oversight, and strategic regulatory leadership.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Enterprise Compliance Strategy & Governance
- Develop and execute enterprise-wide compliance strategies aligned with organizational objectives and global regulatory requirements.
- Lead governance initiatives supporting operational integrity, regulatory transparency, and ethical business practices.
- Establish scalable compliance frameworks across international business units and operational regions.
- Ensure enterprise compliance infrastructure supports long-term growth, operational modernization, and market expansion objectives.
Regulatory Oversight & Risk Management
- Oversee compliance with international financial regulations, corporate governance standards, anti-money laundering (AML) frameworks, data privacy laws, and enterprise risk policies.
- Monitor evolving regulatory environments and assess organizational exposure to compliance and operational risks.
- Lead enterprise-wide risk assessments, compliance audits, and regulatory examination preparation activities.
- Develop mitigation strategies for operational, financial, reputational, and regulatory risks.
Policy Development & Internal Controls
- Design and implement enterprise compliance policies, governance procedures, and internal control frameworks.
- Strengthen enterprise monitoring systems supporting policy enforcement and regulatory adherence.
- Collaborate with legal, cybersecurity, finance, and operations teams to ensure integrated compliance execution.
- Maintain documentation standards supporting enterprise governance and audit readiness.
Compliance Operations & Monitoring
- Lead compliance investigations, monitoring activities, and enterprise reporting initiatives.
- Implement AI-driven compliance analytics and automated monitoring technologies to improve operational visibility.
- Oversee compliance reporting systems, issue management processes, and escalation protocols.
- Ensure timely remediation of compliance findings and operational vulnerabilities.
Ethics, Corporate Integrity & Organizational Alignment
- Promote a strong culture of ethics, accountability, and enterprise governance across all business functions.
- Develop enterprise-wide compliance training and leadership awareness initiatives.
- Partner with executive leadership and HR teams to strengthen organizational compliance engagement.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership regarding enterprise governance and regulatory strategy matters.
Executive & Board-Level Reporting
- Provide executive leadership and board committees with strategic compliance insights, regulatory updates, and operational risk assessments.
- Prepare enterprise compliance dashboards, governance reports, and regulatory intelligence briefings.
- Support strategic business decisions through enterprise risk analysis and compliance forecasting.
- Lead enterprise response strategies related to regulatory inquiries, investigations, and external examinations.
Job Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, Accounting, or related field required.
- Juris Doctor (JD), MBA, Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP), CAMS, CRCM, or equivalent advanced certification strongly preferred.
- 12–20+ years of experience in enterprise compliance, regulatory governance, risk management, financial oversight, or corporate legal operations.
- Proven leadership experience within financial services, FinTech, banking, payments, enterprise technology, or highly regulated multinational environments.
- Strong expertise in AML, KYC, regulatory compliance frameworks, enterprise governance, cybersecurity compliance, and operational risk controls.
- Experience managing international regulatory programs and large-scale compliance operations.
- Strong understanding of AI-powered compliance technologies, governance platforms, and enterprise audit systems preferred.
